Silas is 2!

My little QT, my Silas, turned 2 years old today.  I always try to figure out what sort of cake my kids want, and Silas wanted a "Happy Birthday Cake." (no strange figures... just straight up "Happy Birthday!")  But that seemed too simple, so when I mentioned a crocodile eating a "Happy Birthday Cake" he jumped at the idea and loved it. He was only disappointed that the crocodile didn't have a tail, but he said it must be "in the Ok Fenok schwamp," also known as the Okefenoke Swamp :)
Two of his cousins got to join us for our celebration, which was an extra special treat!
And here he is with his QT cup that he had his picture taken with each month when he was a baby. Now he is a "go-getter" kid who loves to sword fight his siblings, get thrown into the air, and constantly make us laugh at some sort of incredible thing he is doing (whether it is wearing a shirt for pants or getting completely knocked out by his sister swinging in the hammock only to burst out laughing).  He is the cutest, most snuggly little nut I've ever seen, and he warms my heart every day.  He carries a plastic knight everywhere he goes and eats far too many lollipops because I give in way more than I did with the first two kids.  He loves our animals, who are extremely tolerant of his affection.  He talks up a storm and is pretty good at singing too.  I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up being a class clown.
Though he hasn't learned to "smile for the camera," he enjoyed his birthday, being sung to, and spitting all over his cake to blow out the candles.
I just wanted to share this picture of my Grandma, Mom, Aunt, and Vera because they are lovely ladies from a lovely family.
Well, I can't wait to see what the next year holds for little Silas... whatever it is, I'm sure it'll be exciting!
