There is something you should know about owning land ... it takes work. And there is something every good farm or decent plot of land needs, and we haven't had a very decent one for the past 7 years. A riding lawn mower.
Let me be honest here and say that Justin and I are really extraordinarily cheap. Never willing to drop more than $150 or so on a mower, our prime mower sources were craigslist and hand-me-downs. Yes, it took us 7 years to realize that buying old run-down mowers was causing us more harm than good. Having grass up to our knees time and time again because our mowers were breaking after one use was, as you may imagine, rather frustrating. I was used to strapping the belts back on in the middle of mowing, charging the batteries the night before, jumping and shaking the thing till it started (maybe...if you held your breath), but we finally reached the end of our rope. We finally bit the bullet and invested in:
Our brand new riding lawn mower with fabricated (stronger) deck for our bumpy yard.
It starts, it's strong, it works.
Where have you been the last 7 years of my life, Husqvarna tractor!?
Welcome to Winter Farm.
You all deserve it, and you have definitely earned it with your past crazy mower attempts. Enjoy the ride! And just think- you can teach William how to drive on that thing!
