We have a new house! (Sort of)

When we bought our house 11 years ago, we had plans to gets new siding ASAP. The siding was pretty horrible; nests of squirrels had made their homes in the holes in our walls, and every morning I would wake up and look out the window to see insulation raining down as they pulled it out of our house to make more room for their abode. A heavy rain would bring leaks into our house… Not through the roof, but through the walls! I enjoyed living in "The Brown House" for these past 11 years, but I was also thankful for the opportunity we recently had to fix our siding and brighten up our home. So, ASAP may have turned into 11 years, but the job is finally done! I guess it's never actually "done" and sure, we still have some more projects we're trying to finish up, but I'm ready to reveal to you our new home.
Here is our home BEFORE...

And here is our home AFTER!

BEFORE... This is the South side of the house, which was by far the worst section. The intense heat of the sun weathered the cedar into twisted holes and paper thin remnants.
AFTER! Our new hardiplank should withstand the weather... Not pictured yet are my "s hooks" for our new shutters (which make me happy! Both the shutters and the coming "s hooks.")

BEFORE... Woodsy but dark.

AFTER! Welcome to our new home.
