Silas turns 8!

Silas is now 8 years old!

Silas has enjoyed growing his hair out this year, and the contrarian in him just doesn't care what anyone thinks about it.  

Most of Silas's free time is spent building LEGO creations.  He enjoys getting LEGO sets, but he even more loves deconstructing them and building his own inventions.  His bedroom is a city of ships, landscapes, and adventurers.  I love seeing Silas's creativity expressed through the blocks. 

This kid is rough and tumble.  He asked me to take this picture because he was proud of his play wounds.  He scales things constantly.  Door frames, trees, stone fireplaces, cars... if you can't find him, look up.  Or he may be doing flips on the trampoline.

Silas is also a sweet soul who loves hugs and reading to mommy from his Action Bible at night.

Here is one of Silas's LEGO ship creations he has enjoyed inventing.  If he got a chance to show it to you, he would point out all the cool moving parts and details he added, like retractable landing gear and a loading/unloading dock.

For his birthday, Silas asked for a chocolate cake decorated with chocolate... so that's what I made him!

He can't wait to GET IN IT!

Silas's siblings were so excited to celebrate him.  Patrick made Silas a wooden heart (with the help of Daddy), Vera sewed a black widow spider stuffed-animal for him, and William gave him something in their Minecraft world. :)

What do you want to do when you grow up?

A Basktball Player and a LEGO architect designing sets.

What's your favorite color?

Turquoise blue

What do you like to do?

Jump on the trampoline, play basketball, be a "noob," which means acting crazy, building my own LEGO creations, climb... everything.

What do you like to eat?

Sausage, broccoli cheddar soup, pizza, dessert pizza, and cake.

Who is your favorite character?

My custom Mandalorian Lego.

What is your favorite tv show or game?
LEGO StarWars for a show, Minecraft for an electronic game... and chess for a board game.
