Enough on me

I drove up to my son's karate practice and looked down at my shirt only to realize I was covered in a day's worth of mommy-work: unidentified food stains, dirt, and probably snot. I felt embarrassed at first, but then I decided I'd better be proud and wear my frumpy stained shirt with confidence. We had recently watched The Greatest Showman and were singing the tunes constantly (especially Never Enough because it annoyingly would get stuck in my head), so on our drive home, I began making up my own lyrics, which turned into this song. The kids eagerly obliged to be videotaped wiping their faces on me. My awesome husband videotaped; the first thing he does each day after work is to change out of his nice clothes... since he knows what it means to be like a rag for the kids as well. I always appreciate a good laugh, so here's hoping I bring you a laugh. Carry on, parents! It's ok to wear your spit-up shirt with pride... but do make sure to fill your cup and give yourself a break. The kids can always use a napkin... or their own shirt after-all.
We had so much fun making this video. When I thanked the kids the next morning for entertaining my requests, my eldest said "Oh Mommy, it was OUR PLEASURE!" They had fun using me as their human napkin. Enjoy and have a laugh!
