The Favorite Chick

I love this picture.  William is holding his favorite chick, Silvia (because she is silver).  Silvia is oh so soft and sweet...and tolerant.  She has taken rides in the back of William's play-van, has swung in his lap on the swing, has endured getting tossed and stuck in an ant pile...among other things (we have had to take away a day of Silvia time), and has had lots of time sitting in his lap while he sits on the tractor.  Vera is holding on to the steering wheel for dear life, and in the background Gandalf is lounging in the hay.
