I'll trade you a pond for a bunk bed.

So, remember that post I wrote about Justin upgrading the pond and building new front porch steps? Did you take a guess on when it would get done? Well, it isn't quite done yet... but it has become a wild nature area of sorts, which is almost just as good.  And our fish don't mind the delay; they even had babies - at least 15 that I've counted so far.
Ok, so REALLY embarrassingly the SAME soccer ball is still sitting in the hole that was there 4 months ago. We've only had one delivery person come to our front door :).
But we have a GOOD reason we haven't gotten to the pond yet, and I'm really the one to blame.  Justin had a day off for the 4th of July, and rather than have us tackle the pond I gave him the task of building bunk beds in the boy's room.  They've been sleeping in them for a while now, but the finishing touches were completed today. So, here it is!
Complete with slide (which Justin built from scratch, and it goes FAST), and bookshelves.
William says "I get a SLIDE!? and a SWING!? and a TREE HOUSE!? in my BEDROOM!? This is awesome!" That's right, kid.  Be glad your Mommy likes to dream and play and your Daddy is good at building Mommy's dreams (and playing too).
To answer a question you might be thinking... Yes. We do need to be careful of injuries. And yes, we have already had one swing injury. She is ok. But it is something to consider if you want to put all this rad stuff in your home.  And your other question... Yes, the boys do go to sleep just fine without wanting to stay up and play.  But it is hard to get Vera off the swing to go into her own room :).
 Yay for fun!
We'll get to the pond eventually.  Maybe it'll be done by Christmas?
