Garage door... Er curtain?

For the 10 years we have lived in our home our garage has technically been a carport... It has no door. During those ten years Fall (the season) has always happened (Yup). Leaves happen to fall from our oak trees, wind happens to blow, and we end up with a considerable leaf pile in the "carport."
For the last 5 years we have had chickens. Chickens like our carport. Chickens like to poop. Thus chickens + carport = poop. A common phrase as I load the kids into the car is "Watch out for chicken poop!" Followed by "oh Silas! Why weren't you looking where you were going and why aren't you wearing shoes!?"
A garage door has been desired for 10 years but has not taken financial priority. Today I'd had it! Enough chicken poop on our shoes (or feet), and enough with the dirt and leaves tracking their way into our house. I emptied the carport and scrubbed the whole thing. I carefully put the strollers and bikes back in... And then I made a garage door... Err, curtain. I happened to have 5 red curtains on hand so I nailed them to the opening. This is either extremely resourceful or embarrassingly cheap. It is either adorable and trend setting or horribly tacky.

The chickens stayed out of the garage. I felt victorious! A clean floor at last. And then Justin came home from work and pulled into the garage... And almost stepped in chicken poop. Guess my curtains aren't so successful after all (though they lessened the quantity for sure). Justin says maybe we could shop for a door. :)
