William turns 12

Hit Pause.  12 is enough for me.  No getting older.  Anyone.
William is 12.  I love how we can play games competitively (he always beats me in chess) and talk (maturely) about all sorts of interesting things.

William leads the Winter children with compassion and respect for all.  Look at how his little brother, Daniel, loves him so.

Before leaning in to bite his nose!

Our family enjoyed going to Legoland Florida for our Christmas gift.  One highlight was building this scene with William and seeing his pride when hearing all the "ooos" and "aaahhhs" from other families admiring it.

William loves Minecraft, but he does such a good job of sticking to our parameters of when he can play.  Hoping that will help him make self-disciplined choices about screens as he continues growing.  His little brothers have loved learning how to play and joining him in his realm.

William graciously does what he is asked to do.  He doesn't exactly do more than what he is asked to do, but what a kind, sweet boy we got.  He is always warming my heart and making me smile.

Reading out loud to the family during Holy Week.

Like most people, William isn't too keen on this whole COVID-19 stuff.  He misses seeing his buddies and going to his Farm School.  But still, he tries to make the best out of Farm School Zoom meetings by taking them in the treehouse.

He is seen on the trampoline daily with the family.

William loves riding his bike that he and his Daddy fixed up with an electric motor.  It is pretty awesome, because he can get up hills easily (and there are a LOT of hills by our house), and he can keep up well with the golf cart on family rides.

We are thankful that our family alone is a full party! :)  William enjoyed unpacking his suitcase of gifts this morning.  He got roller blades, two Minecraft books (his favorite gift), a nerf gun adapter (from Patrick), and a light that syncs with music.

Because of his love of Minecraft, William decked his cake out with Minecraft LEGOs.  Above is his LEGO mug that he decorated.  How does he drink out of that!?  Yet, he does.
